From the reviews
Pure Barre Ardmore is life changing. I started 15 years ago and my first workout was humbling! Dragged my aching body back for more and committed to sticking it out for a month. By the end of that month, I was hooked. My entire body is stronger, more flexible, and more balanced.
From the ownership to the teachers the vibe is this studio is inclusive regardless of fitness level. The classes cover a wide range from beginner to super butt kicking advanced. Even though you work hard you learn from the teachers a little more every class and the energy is what makes me continue to go back for more.
Pure Barre has been a game changer for me and how I workout. I love the structure of the class & the variety of classes offered. Every class is different which keeps me on my toes and I love it!! All of the instructors at Ardmore location are fantastic!
I used to take Pure Barre classes back home before I moved to PA and loved it, so I was extremely excited to begin classes again this summer at the Ardmore location. This studio is much better than my old studio. The staff is so nice, warm and friendly, the students are also very friendly, and I leave feeling great.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
