From the reviews
Pure Barre has truly changed my life! The instructors are fantastic—always encouraging, kind, and knowledgeable. Each class challenges me in the best way possible, and I can feel myself getting stronger with every session. It has helped with my autoimmune disease and to be the strongest version of myself.
I joined Pure Barre when I hadn’t honestly worked out in years. There was no shame, no judgement, only love. These instructors and peers have become valuable people in my life. They love me no matter what, and making working out not scary. I feel valued as a member and that my presence is noted. Is it hard? Sure.
Such a great workout! The one workout I have stuck to! I also, LOVE the community that exists at Pure Barre! My life has become overwhelming and these women have stood by me, checked in, and are always there! So grateful for the cold message I got 4 years ago!!!
Pure Barre Wichita is more than a place for fitness. It’s a community of some of the most amazing people I am lucky to know. I started Pure Barre after finding an ad on Facebook for a free class while late night scrolling and thought why not. One class and I was hooked and that was almost five years ago.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
