From the reviews
Great work out, challenging yet positive. In terms of difficulty and focus, I love that they have varied class types now. I'd say from beginner to advanced, it'd be 1) Align 2) Classic 3) Define 4) Empower. If you're new to working out or are looking for stretching and balance, or more relaxing yoga feels, try align.
I love this place! It's such a great work out and in such a positive environment. I did PB throughout my second pregnancy (and after) and it helped me feel strong and prepared for labor. The teachers are all wonderful and passionate. I totally recommend PB SRQ!
Love the instructors, they are so professional and make a very difficult work out a fun one!
Michelle is awesome! All the girls are, I just started! The class was INTENSE! MICKEY HAD US SWEATYYYYING!!!!! But I’m so proud of myself for being able to complete the workout, I was surprised I got through it, can’t wait to come back for another class and see the girls again!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
