From the reviews
It took about two years of my friend, Julie, asking me to try Pure Barre before I finally committed to going to a class. Once I did I was a little scared but I stuck with it and now I feel stronger and stronger with each class. My husband and I call my belly the Pure Barre belly.
Pure Barre is my favorite work out. I have been a member here for about 9 years now and absolutely love it. I can’t wait to get back in the studio this week 💕
Looooove this place!!! Ashley and her staff are great teachers and always willing to help and encourage you! They want to learn your name quickly and when they call your name out in class, it's the best feeling in the world!! I feel very welcome here. The workouts are challenging in the BEST way!
I was totally intimidated to go to this class, but Jessica Gallant ensured me that it is for all levels and she would modify anything I needed (I broke my tailbone during my delivery and then split my pubic bone on my second delivery). Needless to say I’m a little limited!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
