From the reviews
UPDATE! I've been going here for over a year, and at 40 years old, I'm in the best shape of my life! The workouts and the teachers are the best. Such a positive environment! I'm obsessed. I just renewed my membership for another year :) I did the 10 classes for the price of 5 and blew through them in 2 weeks!
I can't say enough good things about Pure Barre. I am one of those people who needs to take a class to stay motivated and these classes are perfect for me. They strike the right balance of challenging you, while doing moves that are achievable for the average person.
This studio is one of the best around. The workouts are super effective (and gentle on bad backs and joints like mine!) and the instructors are incredible and treat everyone like family. There are several different types of classes and a variety of times so I can always fit it into my busy schedule.
I love Pure Barre, Roc! As a member of the Miami Pure Barre I wasn't sure how I would feel experiencing a new studio, and a new environment. The instructors were amazing, they have a great set up, and lots of retail. I went many times while visiting because I was so impressed!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
