From the reviews
Since joining Pure Barre, I've realized that I don’t want to return to a regular gym. It’s a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable working to strengthen their bodies. I have gained so much confidence thanks to the instructors who help me with my posture and workout routines.
Pure Barre has been so helpful for me and my fitness journey! This studio is full of caring and supportive instructors and barre tenders who make everyone feel welcome. The different class types are also fun to switch between and provide different goals which is helpful to provide variety from day to day.
Pure Barre is my first type of barre classes I’ve ever been to. It has changed the way I view exercising and has dramatically helped me manage my autoimmune disease through low-impact exercise and strength training, as well as improving my flexibility and mobility.
I’m an instructor and avid attendee of Pure Barre Morgantown. If you’re looking for a top to bottom guided workout geared towards results with emphasis on safe form this is the place for you.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
