Did an 6:30 p.m intro with my friend and we were in for a treat! It was definitely challenging but fun. The instructor was energetic, knowledgeable and super friendly ❤️
I have been doing Pure Barre on and off for the last 15 years. I keep coming back to it because of the fast results, and full body transformation that is possibly in a short amount of time. Each instructor is unique and supportive in their own way.
Great studio, amazing teachers! After dancing ballet for many years I was looking for a fun workout that helped me stay on shape and work in my posture. They have three different types is classes: classic, reform (very similar to Pilates) and Empower (more cardio based).
Took a class here while traveling to Memphis for work. A location consistent with my other pb and barre class experiences. 1 changing area in front, restroom with amenities in the back, and storage cubbies to store your belongings.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
