From the reviews
Pure Barre is my happy place! The environment is warm and inviting. It's a judgement free zone which makes me feel comfortable and welcome. As someone who has been working out her whole life I truly believe this workout is "the one"! I noticed right away a change in my body.
Highly recommended! I would give ten stars if I could!! The instructors and workouts are amazing and challenging. The studio is clean and comfortable. I love that every instructor offers modifications and challenges in every class. Its nice that there are a variety of classes.
After having three children and 7+ years of no consistent exercise routine, Pure Barre Manhasset has been a godsend. It's gotten me back into excellent shape, toning muscles that I forget I once had, and allowing me to have fun in the process.
If you want an effective full body work out, pure barre is the place to go! Gyms get tedious and feel like a chore. Pure barre is a great way to work out and enjoy yourself. After the first class I canceled my gym membership and glad I did. Staff is welcoming and quick to help with adjustments.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
