From the reviews

I was so impressed with todays workout instructor at the Lafayette Pure Barre location. I have been attending classes here since I purchased a package deal. Today was one of those days I didn’t have the energy to go workout but I decided to just attend and I am BEYOND THRILLED that I went ahead and made it!

I love the concept, staff and community. I haven’t worked out since 2020. I was very, very nervous to get back into the fitness world. All my anxiety left upon entering the studio. Everyone was kind, supportive & encouraging. Even other members were welcoming. It’s a fun and challenging experience.

Pure Barre is such a fun way to move your body! Thanks to my favorite instructor, Jessica, I leave every class feeling stronger and motivated. Her classes are the perfect balance of challenging and energizing. She brings such a positive and supportive vibe to every session!

Absolutely LOVE Pure Barre Lafayette. The instructors are so friendly and make you feel welcome at every class. I like that they took the time to learn my name. Class is tough, but the instructors are encouraging and come around to make sure you're doing each move correctly so you can get the maximum benefit from each…

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
