I LOVE Pure Barre High Point! My first class was in August of 2020 and I’m over 600 classes in! This studio has changed my life in so many positive ways and is not just about exercise for me. It has become a community of brave, strong and motivated women who have helped me see the beauty and strength in myself.
As a mom of two and closely approaching forty, I knew I had to start doing something for my health. Joining this studio was the best decision I ever made. Since being here, I have met the most awesome people and not only see a difference in my physical health, but also my mental health.
I came to my first High Point Pure Barre class in January of 2024. Heather was my instructor that class. I fell in love with the class and purchased an 8-pack membership that day. Within a few months, I was addicted to Pure Barre and was feeling so much better, physically and mentally.
Pure Barre High Point is AMAZING!! I started my Pure Barre journey back in late November and I LOVE it. The class formats offer something for everyone: Classic, Empower (more cardio based), Define (more focused on heavier weighted exercises), and Engage ( a 30 minute version of the Classic format).
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
