From the reviews
As a clinical psychologist, the mind-body connection is of utmost priority for me personally and professionally. Throughout my life, I have always been active and included exercise and fitness into my weekly routine.
Pure Barre Eastern Shore is amazing!! Not only have classes at Pure Barre helped me gain strength and endurance, but they have also helped me gain confidence in myself. As a runner these classes have helped me improve my race times and build myself up mentally -- it really is mind over body!
Pure Barre is the best and most efficient workout I have ever done!! The instructors here are truly amazing and everyone is so friendly and supportive. I never thought I would be the type of person who loves working out (I always dreaded the gym), but ever since I started Pure Barre 8 months ago, I've been totally…
I signed up for the 5 week unlimited sessions with my daughter not knowing anything about Pure Barre. I was nervous to start. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed . The instructors are extremely encouraging and always there to help! With each class I take I feel and see a difference !
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
