From the reviews
I have been going to Pure Barre for the past 4 or 5 years (783 classes and counting) and I absolutely love it. It is always challenging and I always feel great physically and mentally at the end of each class.
I started going to Pure Barre - Grandview studio about two months ago, because my physical therapist recommended it. I can tell a significant difference in the strength of my knees and have had so much less pain while playing tennis.
I’ve been taking classes at Pure Barre Columbus since 2017 and have loved every minute. The teachers and desk staff are always so welcoming and willing to help answer any questions you have. The studio is clean and inviting and the equipment is kept in excellent shape.
I absolutely LOVE Pure Barre at Grandview. As someone who wanted a studio-setting for working out, this gives me the socialization I wanted with a powerful, full-bodied workout.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
