From the reviews

I tucked it out at Pure Barre Colorado Springs for several years, and loved every minute of it! The workouts are intensely effective, and changed not only my body but my mind as well. Strength comes with moving beyond your comfort zone, and my life has been full of it!

Pure Barre is a brutal workout as it is, and the longer you go, the harder it gets, which is not typical of most workouts. I’m in the best shape of my life in my 30’s, and my studio was recently purchased; the new owner has quickly made positive changes to the studio itself- the class schedule is more flexible with…

I discovered Pure Barre about a year and a half ago, and am so happy I did! It has changed my body in ways no other workout has - I am more toned, stronger, and more flexible. Before starting classes here I was always an avid runner, and Pure Barre has made me a stronger runner!

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
