From the reviews

As a medical professional new to the area I am highly selective about the fitness programs I participate in and recommend. Pure barre has exceeded my expectations on every level. The instructors are not only motivating and knowledgeable but also make sure everyone participating is maintaining proper form.

I’ve been to three classes so far and have loved every single one! I attended the Galentine’s class, the free pop-up in Century Square, and the Harry Styles themed class, and each experience has been amazing. From the very beginning, the owner, instructors, and staff have been so welcoming and attentive.

Joining Pure Barre has genuinely been one of the best investments I've made for myself. I hadn't worked out in about a year before signing up, and I had never done any type of barre or Pilates-style workouts before. I always feel welcomed and challenged.

Absolutely the best workout and a true gem in College Station 💎! When I lived in Dallas I used to do Barre and floor Pilates at Equinox. When I moved to College Station I felt lost until I found Pure Barre. Now, when I travel for work and over the summer, I truly miss Pure Barre and can’t wait to be back in the studio.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
