From the reviews

I’ve never encountered a more positive atmosphere in a room full of tired & sweaty women! I enjoy all the different class formats, and appreciate that I can modify every move based on how I’m feeling that day (although it can be nice to be challenged when the instructors think you can push a little harder!!).

Working out never felt better! I only go once a week but even if thats all you can do it makes you feel so much better! Each class is super challenging in its own way so it makes you feel like you've really accomplished something! The music is great, its high vibe and upbeat, it gets you pumped up!

★★★★★ — Dana, Jun 2025

I like the positive atmosphere and representation that all bodies can do this! The fun events and treats also help :) the instructors also kindly correct your form or hype you up during class which makes it feel like you’re getting individualized attention even in a group setting.

I enjoy the varied class formats and welcoming atmosphere. It's fun and upbeat. It's a key anchor to my week now, and I've gotten a lot stronger in a sustainable way with Purebarre. Working those small muscle groups make a big difference!

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
