Pure Barre has quickly become my favorite workout studio in Boulder. Their teachers are friendly and effective, everyone is so welcoming, and they create a really strong sense of community.
Pure Barre was awesome! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The studio is airy and bright, with everything well-organized and new. The teacher gave a good warmup before diving into barre class. It was a great workout that you could feel deep in your muscles.
I started going to PBB with no previous barre experience, but wanting to try something new and step outside my comfort zone. It's now become my go-to place when I need a mental break from every day life and take some time for me.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
