I went here for the first time with two of my friends and we all loved it! We did the glow barre class with Jacenda. None of us had ever done a barre class before. The music, glow lights, and Jacenda’s energy made us all feel so comfortable!
My first time! Instructor (Jacenda) did a great job explaining what to do! Class was fun, with enough variety that I never got bored. Feeling sore today so I know I had a good workout! 👍 Will try again!!
I've been going here for years! I love feeling the burn while feeling elegant! The studio is beautiful, and the instructors are always positive and upbeat!
The range of classes and instructors has been so fun to explore, I've found all my favorites and sincerely look forward to each of them!! I recommend Pulse to all my friends all the time.
Your first barre class at Pulse Barre Studio
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
