From the reviews
I’ve been a member of Meetyouatthebarre and doing Jen’s workouts 6 days a week for the last 2 years. I genuinely have to force myself to have one rest day a week 😂 Jen is amazing and has completely transformed my relationship with exercise. I workout because I want to rather than feel I have to.
I love Jen’s classes and wouldn’t be without them now. With a busy family life, the flexibility of being able to exercise when suits me and my day is just brilliant and it still feels so close to an in person class.
Happy to rave about MYATB all day long and to anyone that will listen! I’ve been comfortably doing about 5 of Jen’s classes consistently for a year now and I’ve seen a steady transformation in my physique but also, my mental health too.
Jen is an amazing teacher, she teaches a Barre practice i really love. The classes are carefully planned, with always amazing music and beautiful moves. Jen is very relatable, in a good way : as if you were being taught by a really good friend. so great moves, great music and amazing connection.
Your first barre class at Meet You At The Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
