From the reviews
Mama Barre has been a game changer in my motherhood journey! It’s the most supportive community of mommas and Lauren’s teaching style is so warm and welcoming while still providing an impactful workout that you will absolutely feel the next day.
Can’t say enough good things about Mama barre!! Lauren is such an amazing instructor, and all the moms are always so warm and welcoming!! I can easily say this is the best mom community and fitness group in Austin.
I LOVE the classes and love Lauren!! She, and all the other mamas, making you feel so comfortable and welcome. If you’re looking to move your body and meet other mommies you should definitely check out a class!! Affordable, nonjudgmental, and just an all around amazing experience.
I love these classes! The environment is so supportive and the classes are fun! By far the best fitness class in the area! Lauren provides a safe space for all moms to find their village while working out! I’m so grateful I found Mama Barre!
Your first barre class at Mama Barre Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
