From the reviews

I cannot say enough about Define! I started shortly after they opened and was on the road to being the best shape of my life before life threw me a curveball. Now I'm back at it and already feeling better and seeing a difference in the way my clothes fit after just two weeks!

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at the facility. It was not my typical style of jump/bounce fitness . However, the instructor was nice. The facility was clean. The class had a heavy incorporation of barre techniques. I just was not used to this style of bounce.

Y’all, I love this place so much!! This is my first time ever doing a yoga, cycling, and the mini trampoline class and I’ve had so much fun! Everyone is so nice! It’s so nice having instructors that encourage and push you!! If you have been wanting to try Define, DO IT!! It’s so worth it and you’ll be glad you did!

OMYGAWD this studio was super cute ! 5 stars for daycare on site and having such a variety of classes , all the things people actually don’t mind paying boutique studio pricing for . Even though there were some obvious hiccups , I still had a good class and really enjoyed the cycle session .

Your first barre class at Mōtiv Fitness | Midland - barre, cycle, yoga, trampoline, dance

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
