First, I’d like to say practicing Pilates has had a tremendous impact on my life. I’ve never been one to be consistent with exercise.. I was diagnosed with DDD in 2005 and ultimately had to have back surgery in 2/2021. I was never prescribed physical therapy.
I have been going to Core Studio for just over 1 year. In that time I have lost 35lbs and I am the strongest I’ve been in years. I love all of the people I’ve met and the staff are the best, most friendly and welcoming people. Can’t recommend this place enough! 5 stars for sure!
This is the best place to do any workout! The instructors are very educated, open, and helpful. This place does it all! I will never go to another Pilates studio after working Desteni for over a year! She has changed my life!
I can’t say enough great things about Core Stidio The Pilates Barre! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and positivity. We all enjoy Ozzy the security/therapy dog greeting us also!
Your first barre class at Core Studio The Pilates Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
