I started Breathe Studio over two years ago I must say BARRE and Pilates have changed my life. Im no youngster I have Osteoporosis when I went for a recent Dexa Scan I had a 14% increase in my density. The Doctor was amazed and said what have you been doing I said going to some amazing classes BARRE and Pilates.
Thank you so much for the amazing Barre party for my best friends bachelorette party! Leah was amazing to work with and made everything very easy to coordinate. She was great at adapting the class for our groups skill level and everyone had a good workout and a great time at the class.
The Saturday group class (rsvp required) is such an amazing weekly re-set. It's great for my posture and building deep core abdominal strength has been amazing for my lower back pain. Kirra and Leah are excellent teachers and this is a truly all welcoming environment.
Always clean and professional. Love Leah and how knowledgeble she is in her craft! Highly recommended!!!!
Your first barre class at Breathe Studio Barre And Pilates
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
