From the reviews
I’ve been going to Body Barre three times a week for fifteen months, and I’m so glad I found it. The owner, Kristen, and her instructors are all friendly and kind. They make class fun yet challenging. Our classes are made up of all ages but the work out you get is your full body, and very effective.
I've taken barre classes at 4 different studios and this is by far the best. They really care about your form and explain the positions in a way that is easy to follow. The class itself is very effective at getting my heart rate up while feeling the burn in my muscles.
Intense full body workout! Taking class in the morning left me energized and motivated for my whole day. I am a frequent visitor here and absolutely love it!
Your first barre class at Body Barre Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
