From the reviews
I've been back at Barre Code (I took a few years off) since January and I'm in love with the work outs! The staff is friendly and I utilize the kids room often. I haven't been this excited about working out in a long time. I appreciate the different types of classes as well.
I’ve been a Barre Code regular for years now and you never get the same workout twice. It’s a great way to shake up your routine, especially with all the variable formats. My favorite is Brawl…if you like cardio and kickboxing- this is the class for you!
My heart aches writing this review knowing I am leaving this studio (moving away). Kate is an insanely talented instructor. She has made me a person with discipline, strength, endurance, patience, and has made me love and trust my body in so many ways.
I started at the beginning of the month and am already hooked. I started with their 2 week unlimited package and wanted to get the most out of it so I went 3-4x each of those weeks and decided to continue with the unlimited package.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
