From the reviews
I was introduced to Barre3 by my sister in law and very happy she did so! Barre3 is a great workout that is fun, enjoyable, and leaves me satisfied after every class. In the short amount of time since I joined, I have already began to see improvements and my flexibility and overall strength.
Friendly, welcoming and a great workout. I had stayed away from exercise classes because I am not great at keeping up with group moves and sticking to others' schedules, but going to barre3 at Legacy Village has been truly transformative. First, the instructors are great and everyone is super friendly and welcoming.
I started as a client at barre3 Legacy Village when the studio opened in early 2015. Later that year I trained to become an instructor. Since then I've had the privilege of bringing this incredible workout to this amazing community, while also still getting to be a client myself and take class.
I’ve been taking classes at this studio for about a month and truly can’t say enough good things! I typically find workout classes intimidating, especially when I’m attending on my own, but everyone at this studio is so friendly and inviting. Classes are challenging but modifications are always offered.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
