From the reviews
Barre3 Oakway is such a phenomenal place to get a full body workout, stretch AND practice mindfulness w/ breath work - all designed to be incorporated together! The environment is calm, yet energizing, and the people, from staff to instructors to fellow members, have never been anything less than kind and welcoming.
I absolutely love Barre3! It’s the perfect workout for me because it’s low impact, which means I can challenge myself without worrying about hurting my body. Each class leaves me feeling stronger, more grounded, and energized. The instructors are amazing - so supportive and knowledgeable.
Barre3 Eugene provides a great workout experience. You do not need to have any dance background to participate. It’s a great balance of strength training, cardio, stretching, and breath work. The studio is very clean! Even though it’s called Barre3 you don’t really get to use the bar much.
I love this studio. The instructors and front desk staff are so welcoming and encouraging. I appreciate that there are a lot of modifications offered during class and that the instructors check in on participants. It’s a challenging workout, but I always end up smiling during class because of the positivity.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
