From the reviews
Came in for the free trial class and got a great workout. The teacher Shannon and the owner were both super supportive and friendly. Also, there pricing was reasonable with lots of options. Highly recommend.
I am sooo thrilled there is finally a barre3 in this neighborhood. I’ve been going 3x/week for a few weeks since this studio opened and have been really pleased with my experience so far. Everyone from the owner, staff, and instructors have been so friendly and welcoming.
I bought a 4 pass monthly plan and can easily say this Barre3 location is a 10/10 😊 They are friendly, keep their space clean, offer childcare options, and kick your butt in all the right ways! All of the instructors have been amazing too!
I've been to a few of their preview classes and I am so excited for the regular class schedule! The instructors are so kind and fun. Barre can be really hard or a soothing effort depending on your goals and I love how Murrayhill Barre3 supports that.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
