From the reviews
I’ve been a member of Barre3 since 2018, and it’s been nothing short of life-changing. I joined during a time when I needed something just for me, and from the very first class, I was hooked.
I love how calm and inviting the studio is each time you walk in. I used to dance growing up, but haven’t in over 10 years. I used to do yoga and Pilates, however, it’s been a long time as well. I was unsure if I would feel comfortable with my now lack of mobility, flexibility and stamina.
I love barre3. I first started going to the Allentown studio about two years ago, took a break, and have now been back consistently for the past three months. The Signature 60 (Sig60) class is my favorite—I really appreciate that there are always modifications available, which makes the workouts accessible but still…
This studio was exactly what I needed. The environment is clean and inviting. The instructors are knowledgeable and lively. I have not had a class I did not like. The community is amazing and encouraging. I am super blessed to have this studio near me.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
