From the reviews
Since I started in June I have noticed a difference in how I feel not only more toned but all around more energy. I never used to stretch and now I feel so much better because I do so more.my balance is better and well coordination getting there.lol.
I have never worked out a day in my life. And started with pure barre and never met nastier people. Then was turned on to Barre-tique where I am now addicted to working out ! Mainly because everyone is so nice and supportive and doesn’t make you feel dumb.
I have been a client of Barre-Tique Fitness for over a year now. I have high expectations of any fitness class that I belong to and this studio fits the bill. Professional instructors, a clean and great looking studio and music that keeps you wanting more.
Wow! I’ve been searching for a workout like this my entire adulthood. I found that it blended so many workouts I love/used to love. It’s like if yoga and ballet had a baby, and made it do light weight training- that would be this class.
Your first barre class at Barre-Tique Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
