From the reviews
I have been coming to Barre Element for a year now, and I can truly say I am addicted!! I do classes two to three times a week and it never feels like work. These workouts have become something that I really look forward to. The instructors are great, they offer modifications when needed and they're very encouraging.
I was able to take a complimentary class after hearing about all these "barre classes" and doing some research on one in my area. I was very impressed with the instructor and loved how encouraging she was and came by to help out with technique as I was new to the whole experience.
I started coming here with my friend and I've experienced several different classes (Yogilates, Body sculpt, Power Yoga, TRX, restorative yoga) with several different instructors and I have felt the benefit after every class. The instructors are very nice! It feels like a community!
I'm beyond impressed with this amazing uplifting, healing studio! Thank you Liz for being a catalyst for empowering women! I'm 100% recommending this wonderful safe haven to all my clients.
Your first barre class at Barre Element
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
