From the reviews
Barre & Co has quickly become one of my favorite places to work out. Annie is incredibly warm, welcoming, and encouraging. Her classes are challenging in all the right ways, and I can already tell they’re doing wonders for building the booty and overall strength. Highly recommend!
Barre and Co is such a gem, Anne is a fantastic teacher. Her classes are high energy, music bumping, and she’s going to get you to push past your limits. She will get you working muscles you didn’t even know you had. I truly can’t recommend Barre and Co enough.
Great workout, upbeat music and positive environment. Annie’s classes are always fun, and she makes it accessible and challenging for everyone, whether it’s your 1st or 100th class.
A gem in our small town. I appreciate the great hour-length work-outs that challenge me at just the right level. Welcoming, options for everyone, knowledgable and upbeat instructor.
Your first barre class at Barre & Co.
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
