From the reviews
Bag + Barre is SUCH an amazing studio! You really feel like you get a great workout, AND feel so much more confident after. I got to take a class with Mackenzie and a class with Rachel and they both do such an amazing job creating an empowering and encouraging environment.
Bag and Barre is incredible. I’ve had the best experience at this female owned boxing and barre gym. The energy is empowering, the space is amazing, and the workouts absolutely deliver. Lauren was my trainer for my first class and she was phenomenal.
seriously one of the best workouts I’ve had in a while 🥊✨ was so impressed with my instructor francesca, she’s amazing! this made for the perfect change of scenery when it comes to working out & I genuinely had SO MUCH FUN
Amazing blend of cardio and barre! Loved meeting the owner and was inspired by the workout. 5 stars!
Your first barre class at Bag+Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
