From the reviews
I have had nothing but great experiences here. Liz has gone out of her way to help accommodate my needs after a major illness as I get back to my normal life. All instructors have been patient, attentive, and encouraging. I highly recommend this studio.
Great place. They have a variety of teachers and times to fit your schedule. I've never had a bad experience there. All of the people who work here are super kind and helpful.
I have been taking classes at this studio since 2017. Liz and her team of teachers are top-notch. They are kind and encouraging and go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported. There was a time, early on in my coming here, that I accidentally left behind some workout clothes.
Let me just say I’ve Ben going to Sunstone in Las Colinas since I believe almost opening day. I love the classes they offered and how they have evolved from “just yoga” (if there is such a thing) to incorporating the fit aspect greatly expanding the membership. Great community, awesome loving instructors.
Your first barre class at ALIVE Yoga - Las Colinas
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel — there are showers on site if you need one after. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
