From the reviews

Elianae’s class is amazing! She brings high energy, deep knowledge, and total cultural respect to every style she teaches. Somehow she’s cracked the code—each class works for all levels without leaving anyone behind or bored. Low drama, super fun, and always a highlight of my week!

★★★★★ — Bethany, May 2025

Elianae has such a positive attitude and outlook on life. I took the class for fun, but get a lot more than that..exercise, friendships, learning and loving belly dance, and YES having fun! I am still learning, and it’s something for me and my well being.

★★★★★ — Ronette, Apr 2023

I really enjoy belly dance class with Elianae. She makes dance so fun with her positive attitude and she is so welcoming. I love that she shares her experiences with us as well. She also accommodated us all when there was weather and building maintenance issues, which was definitely appreciated.

★★★★★ — Jessica, Mar 2024

Best class I have taken, and I am having so much fun! Elianae is very clear and spot on with her technique. She is also very entertaining and a joy to learn from. I am already showing more grace and strength. I feel my mind awakening to new neural connections!

Your first barre class at Acceleration Dance and Fitness

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
